Swim Meet 101 Volunteering
Volunteering: Each family needs to volunteer at 3-4 swim meets per season to help keep our meets moving smoothly.
- Marshal (help swimmers line up for their events)
- Clerk (write down and score swim meet)
- Timer (time swimming events and record time on timesheet--must get swimmers' name)
- Runner (brings time sheets to clerk)
- Starter (starts swim meet races with starting system)
- Finish Judge (keeps track of first through sixth place with finish judge from other team)
- Stroke and Turn (watches for disqualifications during race, reports to times *must attend stroke and turn session at start of season*)
- Announcer (announces swim meet events and results)
